As this month of classes comes to an end, I find myself contemplating the significant growth I’ve achieved in both my confidence and abilities. This course pushed me to transition from theoretical concepts to practical applications—whether that involved organizing a live event, creating strategic communications, or utilizing the PESO model to formulate a comprehensive media strategy across multiple platforms. The experience was not only immersive but also closely tied to the dynamic industry of public relations.
The pinnacle of this month was working on the capstone campaign for Sweet Delights Bakery. From managing event logistics to establishing influencer collaborations and budgeting, I learned how to bring a concept to life through practical implementation. The “Wellness & Flavor Live” holiday event demonstrated how to align messaging with core values, such as health and community, while maintaining brand integrity. I also gained valuable experience in crafting media kits, preparing webinar presentations, and developing a clear and engaging spokesperson persona.
Developing the event webinar and keynote compelled me to step beyond my comfort zone, particularly in presenting and visually structuring strategic concepts. Nevertheless, these activities provided me with practical skills that I can utilize in future PR positions. I take particular pride in my ability to integrate storytelling with data analysis, ensuring that our campaign resonates emotionally while also demonstrating a strong return on investment.
If I could change anything, I would begin the design work sooner to provide more time for refining the visuals. Regardless, I conclude this month with a deeper understanding of integrated communication, brand storytelling, and the importance of clarity in conveying messages.
